Space, the Final Frontier. Nevermind.

In addition to this being the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin being the first man in space, it's the 30th anniversary of the first Shuttle launch. Back then we could afford a space program and believed it should belong to all citizens. Now we're told we can't afford it and that it's all good if it's the private toy of the rich and of multinational corporations. How far we have fallen.
